“Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow.” — Matthew 6:28
The Pasture Pulpit was born from a simple conviction: that God still speaks through the ordinary. You don’t need a pulpit of polished oak or letters after your name to hear Him. Sometimes the clearest sermons are preached by a quiet field at first light, a stubborn fence that needs mending, or the patient turning of the seasons.
I’m a layman — not a pastor, not a scholar — just a believer trying to see everyday life through the lens of Scripture. These writings are my attempt to hold the plain truth of God’s Word up against the plain realities of work, family, and the land, and to share what I find there.
What You’ll Find Here
The journal holds short reflections — each one anchored to a passage of Scripture and drawn from the rhythms of everyday life. The video page gathers teachings and testimonies worth your time. Wherever you begin, my prayer is the same: that you would leave a little more rooted in the One who made the pasture and the people who walk it.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.”
Thank you for visiting. Pull up a seat on the porch, and let’s look at the world together — from the pasture to the pulpit, and back to everyday life.
